The tactical officer aboard the ship is responsible for weapon and defensive ship systems both during and out of battle situations. They also are responsible for overseeing security details aboard the ship and need to be alert for, unexpected quests.

Commander Jonathan Matheson, you are to report to Starbase, Monday morning at 0800 as the new tactical officer aboard a starship. We unfortunately are unable to detail ship and personel files at this time. They will be released for further examination after your briefing with your new captain and officers.
